I'm an experienced workshop facilitator across all my artforms. My practice is trauma informed and socially engaged. I've run workshops, courses and camps in zine-making, poetry, art history, and filmmaking as well as durational community collaborations. I work with all ages, specialising in work with children and young people. Clients include Northside Partnership, Creative Places Darndale, Lusk Community Cultural Centre, Poetry Ireland, Chester Beatty Library, Empowering Communities, Culture Night, schools, Dublin Comic Arts Festival and Cavan Arts Festival. Know Your Rights; a 6 week zine-making and youth empowerment workshop series in association with The Irish Council for Civil Liberties. 6th classes at OLI SNS in Darndale learned how to make zines and about their rights during Gardaí stops and searches. The pupils contributed artwork to a Know Your Rights zine which they now know how to copy and distribute among their peers. Funded by Northside Partnership Empowering Communities.
DIY Filmmaking 6 Week Course at Lusk Community Cultural Centre, in collaboration with Keith Jordan. Participants aged 14-18 wrote and directed their own short films and learned skills in acting, puppetry, directing, screen composition, screenwriting and editing.
